Now, dividing the equation (1) by the equation (2), we get

m_{kg}v_{m³} = m_{lb} × mcfv_{gal} × vcf, or

m_{kg}v_{m³} = m_{lb}v_{gal} × mcfvcf, but m_{kg}v_{m³} is, by definition, the density (d) in kg/m³, so

d = m_{lb}v_{gal} × mcfvcf

Rearranging the formula above we get

m_{lb} = d × v_{gal} × vcfmcf
