Celsius to Romer Converter
See below how to convert any value in Celsius to RomerDegrees , as wel as, the Celsius to degrees Romer formula or equation.
To use this temperature calculator, simply type the Celsius value in the box at left and you're done. The result will be shown in the box at right.

To convert a Celsius value to the corresponding value in Romer, just use the formula: [°Ro] = [°C] × 21⁄40 + 7.5

What is Celsius ScaleThe Celsius scale was invented in 1742 by the Swedish astronomer Anders Celsius. It was initially defined by the freezing point of water and later changed its definition as being the melting point of ice. 100° C was defined as the boiling point of water. The Celsius scale is a derived scale once its defined in relation to the Kelvin temperature scale. 0 (zero) °C is exactly equivalent to 273.15 K, with a temperature difference of 1 °C equivalent to a difference of 1 K, meaning the unit size in each scale is the same.

What is Romer ScaleRømer is credited with inventing the mercury thermometer. He divide his temperature scale between freezing water and boiling water into 60 (sixty) degrees. Daniel Gabriel Fahrenheit developed his thermometers and the Fahrenheit scale. Charactheristics: The boiling point of water is defined at 60 degrees;
The freezing point of water is defined at 7.5 degrees above the zero of the scale; A Rømer degree is 100/52.5 of a Kelvin or Celsius degree.
